The faithful who are ill are deprived of their rightful and accustomed place in the Eucharistic community. The Pastoral Care Minister represents Christ by bringing Holy Communion and sacred scripture to the sick, and in so doing, reflects the love and support of the Eucharistic community of the Basilica of Saint Andrew.
The Pastoral Care Ministry to the Sick is carried out by a Priest, Deacon, and lay pastoral care ministers.

IN CASE OF SACRAMENTAL EMERGENCY OR IMMINENT DEATH:
Call the parish office at 540-344-9814.
If the office is closed you will be given an emergency number to call for a Priest.
If the office is open, ask for Father Kevin or Father William. If neither Priest is available, ask to speak with Kathy McDaniel, Pastoral Care Coordinator.
IN NON-EMERGENCY SITUATIONS:
If you are in need of the Sacrament of Reconciliation and/or Anointing of the Sick, please call the parish office at 540-344-9814 and ask for Father Kevin or Father William. If neither Priest is available, ask to speak with Kathy McDaniel, Pastoral Care Coordinator.
FOR ONGOING VISITATION:
If you are in need of pastoral care visits for a long term illness, nursing home patient, hospitalized patient or homebound patient by an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion (not a Priest), please contact Kathy McDaniel at the parish office at 540-344-9814 to have these visits arranged.
