Bereavement Ministry

"Blessed are they who mourn for they will be comforted." - Matthew 5.4

The Basilica of Saint Andrew Bereavement Ministry serves families who are grieving the loss of a loved one. The members of the ministry are trained to successfully implement our mission to give comfort and support to the grieving families of the Basilica of Saint Andrew community by giving them our time, hearing their thoughts and sharing their tears.

Every year on a Sunday following All Souls' Day (November 2), the Bereavement Ministry Team sponsors a service of Evening Prayer and Mass for All Souls for those who have died from All Souls Day to All Souls Day. Participants can join in prayer and song and light a candle for their loved ones.
