ARE YOU SOMEONE OR DO YOU KNOW SOMEONE WHO…
Fill out the form below or call the parish office to set up a meeting so we get to know you a little bit. At this meeting, we will discuss your spiritual journey and how to proceed if you want to learn more about the Catholic church.
1. Prayer: Catholics live a vital and personal relationship with the God through prayer. As you go through your journey, it is vital to deepen this relationship by regularly lifting your heart and mind to God.
2. Mass attendance: If you have not attended a Catholic Mass before, now is the time! Mass attendance is the most crucial part of this journey. If you have a Catholic friend, ask them to accompany you and give you a brief tutorial on what happens at Mass. Or, you may contact Ginny or Erik for assistance in attending Mass for your first time. Everyone who is on the path to enter the Catholic Church is expected to attend weekend Mass.
3. Classes: Classes are held every Thursday from 6:30 PM to 8:15 PM. Classes are very important as they are an opportunity to come together in a small group to learn more about our faith. Sessions focus on the teachings and experience of the Church and prepare individuals to celebrate the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist. Consistent class attendance is a must.
4. Mystagogy: The word means "to lead through the mysteries." During this time, we discover what it means to fully participate in the mysteries of the sacraments of the Church.
Please check out our "Catholic Teaching Videos" page if you would like to learn more about what Catholics believe.
